October 1ST
We celebrate October as Pastor Appreciation Month! We also recognize a successful Walnut Cove Fall Fest, where church volunteers gave away 250 hot dogs, connected with neighbors, and offered prayer, sharing birthdays, and worship-service volunteer assignments. We also offer prayer concerns for homebound members, church family, relatives, and special needs. The month’s schedule includes Circle #3 and men’s meetings, weekly adult, children’s, and youth Bible studies, a youth rally, a soup-and-salad lunch and Church Council meeting, and a “Trunk or Treat” event. The newsletter also looks ahead to November and December events, especially the November 21 Harvest Sale, which needs donated goods, volunteers, and support for breakfast, chicken stew, and Moravian chicken pies. Proceeds will help fund church-floor repairs and carpet replacement.
